Ms. Vanderwood graduated magna cum laude (top ten percent) from Southwestern University School of Law in 2001, where she also served as Lead Articles Editor for the Law Review. Additionally, Ms. Vanderwood was the recipient of CALI awards for having the highest grade in International Business Transactions, Federal Indian Law, Torts, and Legal Writing. Ms. Vanderwood has experience in contract, business and real estate litigation, as well as business transactions and insurance defense.

Ms. Vanderwood is a member of the California State Bar Association and Washington State Bar Association.
